This single family two story hillside residence is comprised of 4 bedrooms, an office, 3-1/2 baths, media/ billiard room, bar, outdoor barbeque area, infinity edge pool, spa with spillovers, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces.

The project explores the nature of fluidity and sequence in the context of space, circulation, and landscape. The heavily-wooded hillside site offers stunning peek-a-boo views of the Cleveland National Forest beyond. The home itself both captures and is captivated by these views, creating spaces that flow into one another and into the landscape.

Experientially, the occupant becomes immersed in a continuous volume of spectacular views that focus attention both internally towards the architecture itself and externally towards the forestry immediately surrounding the home and in the distance. The smooth, sinuous surfaces that organize the spaces are then punctured and intersected in such a way as to break down the barriers that visually and psychologically separate the inside from the outdoors.
